Official website for the anime adaptation Ace of the Diamond Act II has just released a significant update regarding the continuation of the series. These include the release of the first trailer, new key visuals, and confirmation of the animation studio that will be handling the production.
Release Schedule and Studio Changes
Based on the official announcement, anime is scheduled to air in April 2026. This release schedule places the series as part of the Spring 2026 anime lineup.
A big change is happening on the animation production side. Studio OLM is now taking over production responsibilities, replacing Madhouse who handled the previous season. OLM will be working under the direction of a new director, Hideaki Oba.
Ace of the Diamond Act II Season 2 Storyline
Crunchyroll describes the story for this latest season as focusing on Eijun Sawamura's debut at the Spring Invitational tournament. The main narrative will highlight Eijun's efforts to restore Seido's reputation as a first-class team. He is determined to lead his team to become national champions in this new journey of the Seido High School baseball club.

About Ace of the Diamond
Ace of the Diamond is a series adapted from Yuji Terajima's baseball manga. It was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine from May 2006 to January 2015. The sequel to the manga, Act II, It runs from August 2015 to October 2022.
The previous anime adaptation was done through the collaboration of Madhouse and Production I.G. It aired from October 2013 to March 2016 with a total of 126 episodes. Adaptation Ace of the Diamond Act II by Madhouse then followed in April 2019 to March 2020 for 52 episodes. The announcement of this latest sequel was first made in May 2024.
