Anime adaptation of A Wild Last Boss Appears! (Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta!) will air in October with the main seiyuu lineup and production team announced. The anime is adapted from the light novel by Firehead and YahaKo, which presents a premise of isekai with fantasy MMORPG elements and offers a story full of adventure and mystery.

Ruphas Mafahl, the Black-Winged Overlord and leader of the Twelve Stars of Heaven, has been defeated.
Two hundred years after his fall, a man awakens in a character's body Exgate that he played-Ruphas Mafahl. However, the world he previously knew as just a game has now become real. The world of Exgate is no longer under human control, and its inhabitants have the consciousness and life of real people.
With no country, no army, and no allies, Ruphas embarks on a journey to rediscover the Twelve Stars of Heaven, the group he once led. However, the big question still haunts him: why was he reborn as Ruphas in this world?
Production Details and Creative Team
The anime is animated by Wao World studios, with WOWMAX as the production arm. Yūya Horiuchi, who was previously involved in the Nijiyon Animation and Nijiyon Animation 2, acted as director.
The screenplay was written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Is the Order a Rabbit?, Girls' Last Tour). Character design was done by Maiko Ebisawa (Wonder Egg Priority, Sword Art Online: Alicization). In addition, Takashi Kobayashi (Time Travel Girl, Magikano) and Shōta Ueno (Seirei Gensouki - Spirit Chronicles) is responsible as the additional character designer.
The main seiyuu involved in this project are Ami Koshimizu as Ruphas Mafahl and Yuri Usui as Dina.
Adaptation Background and Popularity of the Series
Story A Wild Last Boss Appears! was first published as a web novel on the platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2015. The light novel was written by Firehead and YahaKo, then developed into a print version published by Earth Star Entertainment. The ninth volume concludes the story, which was released in April 2019.
In addition to the novel, the story was also adapted into a manga drawn by Tsubasa Hazuki and serialized on Comic Earth Star since 2017. To date, the manga is still continuing and will reach its 10th volume, which is scheduled to be released on February 12. For international readers, J-Novel Club has digitally published the novel and manga in English.
