Devils’ Crest finally reveals new details for adaptation anime TV. Warner Bros. Japan released a video teaser that reveals the main cast, core staff, and the anime's scheduled debut in 2026.
At the same time, official website The anime also features a visual teaser. This update serves as an early introduction to the Devils’ Crest anime, which is based on the novel series by Reki Kawahara.
Devils’ Crest Announces Main Cast and 2026 Debut
The latest video teaser confirms two names for the main characters. Haruka Shiraishi will fill the role of Yuma Ashihara. Konomi Inagaki will play the role of Sawa Ashihara.
Through the same video, the anime also confirmed that Devils’ Crest will air in 2026. The official English title for this anime is Devils’ Crest.
In addition to the video teaser, the official anime website also showed a visual teaser. These two initial materials show the direction of the anime introduction before the next announcement is released.
Devils’ Crest Synopsis
Devils’ Crest is set in a new VRMMORPG called Actual Magic. This game puts a class of sixth graders in a life-and-death situation.
The main character is Yuma, an eleven-year-old boy who must survive with his friends in a dangerous game world. One of their classmates has turned into a monster. Giant creatures also appear in various parts of the world.
Their hope comes from a demon named Valac who possesses Yuma's twin sister. Following Valac's lead, Yuma and his party set out to rescue their lost friend, Nagi.
On that journey, they will face unexpected encounters.

The Devils’ Crest anime is produced by Production I.G. The main staff lineup that has been announced is as follows:

- Director: Kenichiro Komaya
- Series Scripts: Eiji Umehara
- Character Design: Yukiko Horiguchi
- Music: Yuki Hayashi and Naoyuki Chikatani
Shinji Ushiro was previously involved in Yo-kai Watch, Mazica Party, and Scum of the Brave. Kenichiro Komaya is known for Nina the Starry Bride and Kizuna no Allele.
Eiji Umehara was involved in the script of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-. He also handled the series composition for ISEKAI's Suicide Squad.
Yukiko Horiguchi is the original illustrator of the novel Devils’ Crest. For music, the anime is handled by Yuki Hayashi and Naoyuki Chikatani. Naoyuki Chikatani was previously involved in the Ya Boy Kongming! live-action series and movie, as well as the anime I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons.
About Devils’ Crest
The Devils’ Crest novel series began in November 2022. Kadokawa released the fourth volume of the novel on December 10. For the English release, Yen Press published the third volume on December 30.
In addition to the novel, Devils’ Crest also received a vertical-scrolling format manga adaptation. This adaptation was done by Tomoe for the art and Koroku Takano for the script.
The manga was launched on Wit Studio's HykeComic service in November 2022. Kadokawa then released its first compilation volume in June 2024.
Reki Kawahara is known as the author of Sword Art Online, Accel World, and The Isolator: Realization of Absolute Solitude. His works are also published in English by Yen Press.
