VShojo made a surprise appearance at Anime Expo 2025 by introducing the group VTuber first Japanese language. The group named NOVA This immediately attracted the attention of visitors and the virtual content enthusiast community.
NOVA VTuber Group: Characters and Fantasy World
NOVA is a four-member VTuber group under VShojo. The members are Akatsuki Hotaru, Hestia Happiness, Okamoto Nagi, and Yutori Peke. Each character has a different background and profession in the post-apocalyptic parallel world that serves as their story universe.
They began streaming activities from November 2024 via YouTube and Twitch, with all content delivered in Japanese.
After several months of online activity, the group was officially introduced to the global public through a surprise announcement at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles.
Debut Song "Starry Connection" Released at Anime Expo 2025
As part of the official announcement at Anime Expo 2025, they released their debut song titled Starry Connection on July 5, 2025 at 1 p.m. Japan time. Anime Expo is one of the largest anime conventions in the world, with around 400,000 visitors each year.
Song Starry Connection comes with a Japanese hyper pop feel. The lyrics were written by utumiyqcom, known through his participation in Rap Star. The music composition was done by Tokyo Manaka, an emerging Vocaloid producer. The official music video for the song was produced by Toei Zukun Laboratory, featuring the group's signature fantasy world setting.

VShojo and its Strategy to Expand to Japan Through NOVA
This debut is part of VShojo's full expansion into the Japanese market. Previously known for its English-language VTuber projects, VShojo is now bringing a new approach to the Japanese audience through localized content and characters designed in the distinctive style of Japanese virtual culture.
As part of this strategy, VShojo teamed up with Universal Music to form a new music label called UNIVOLT. The label will be the platform for the release of official music from the four-member group, including Starry Connection.
