Anime adaptation Petals of Reincarnation finally got a concrete airdate with an official announcement from Pony Canyon and HIDIVE. This news includes the release of a promotional video, key visuals, as well as a release date for the television series.
Petals of Reincarnation Air Schedule and Production Studio
Anime Petals of Reincarnation is scheduled to begin airing in April 2026. The anime is a co-production between Pony Canyon and streaming service HIDIVE.
For the animation work, Benten Film studio was appointed as the main production house. This studio was previously known as Gaina. Additional information states that Benten Film was recently acquired by Creator's X, a company engaged in AI animation.
Petals of Reincarnation Storyline
The storyline centers on Toya Senji, a high school student who has self-confidence issues due to growing up in the shadow of his talented older brother. Toya feels that she is average despite her academic achievements, and she has a strong desire to be special.
His fate changed when he met his classmate, Haito Luo Buffett. Haito turned out to be a “Returner” who used an object called “Branch of Reincarnation”.
By slitting one's throat with it, one can awaken a talent from one's past life. Haito himself has the talent of the legendary swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi. Through this encounter, Toya learned of the existence of other Returners who had ambitious plans to use their reincarnation talents.

The promotional video shows a snippet of the Opening song titled “Glitch*” performed by eill. Meanwhile, the Ending song titled “ZERO” will be performed by artist Sizuk.
In addition to the theme song, the anime also announced the full list of voice actors. This includes five new cast members for the historical characters, as well as the main staff led by director Shun Kudo and music composer Kohta Yamamoto.

About Petals of Reincarnation
The anime adaptation was first announced by Mag Garden in August 2024 as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the manga series. Mikihisa Konishi launched the manga in Comic Blade magazine in May 2014 before the serialization moved to the magazine's online website in September 2014.
Mag Garden has published the 22nd volume of the compilation book on August 8. You can look forward to seeing how Toya and these historical figures clash when the anime airs in April 2026.
