Ubisoft announced that Riders Republic will launch globally on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 9, 2026. The announcement was made during the Riders Republic 5th Anniversary Showcase, coinciding with the five-year anniversary of the extreme sports game.
In addition to the Switch 2 version, Ubisoft also unveiled Nomad Mode, an offline gameplay feature available on all platforms on the same date. If you’re curious, Riders Republic will also be available to play for free during the Free Weekend from October 22–26, 2026.

Riders Republic is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on December 9
Riders Republic will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 Starting December 9, 2026, for players worldwide. That way, you can take this extreme sports-themed multiplayer playground with you wherever you go.
Since its release, Riders Republic has been played by more than 17 million players. The game features an open world inspired by iconic national parks in the United States. There, you can bike, ski, snowboard, wingsuit, and even fly a rocket wingsuit in a variety of solo and multiplayer modes.
Nomad Mode offers offline gameplay
The showcase also confirmed the arrival of Nomad Mode, an offline gameplay feature set to launch on December 9, 2026, across all platforms. With this mode, you’ll still be able to play without an internet connection.
Here are some things you can do in Nomad Mode:
- Exploring the open world
- Advancing one's career
- Completing various activities
- Finding landmarks
- Customizing the rider's character
Any progress you make offline will sync automatically once you're back online. That means you don't have to worry about losing your progress when playing without an internet connection.
Riders Republic’s 5th Anniversary Celebration Series
To celebrate Riders Republic’s fifth anniversary, Ubisoft has prepared a variety of activities and in-game rewards. Here are the details:
- Free Weekend on October 22–26, 2026, on all available platforms
- Special anniversary events and rewards, including limited-time competitions and exclusive anniversary gear
- New crossover content inspired by Ubisoft franchises, including Assassin’s Creed, Rayman, Just Dance, The Crew Motorfest, For Honor, Skull and Bones, and Brawlhalla
