NetEase Games has just shared the latest news regarding Sea of Remnants. The ocean-fantasy open-world RPG game officially released a new character trailer. In addition, the developer also announced the start of the Wanderer Test phase for selected players.

The latest promotional video gives a glimpse into the harsh life of pirates in this world. The trailer shows how far adventurers have to go to secure their treasure. The highlight of the video is the introduction of one of the important characters named R.S.
R.S has quite an eccentric personality. He is described as a Damage Over Time type character. This character has unique combat abilities. One of his signature skills is deploying the “Surprise Pony” bomb. This attack can comprehensively hit the enemy team.
In the main story narrative, R.S plays a significant role. Players will later sail with R.S in search of various mythical treasures. This adventure will take you to explore various mysterious locations scattered across the ocean.
Schedule and How to Access the Wanderer Test
Along with the release of the trailer, a small-scale Closed Alpha phase called the Wanderer Test officially began. This test period runs from February 4, 2026 to February 12, 2026.
It is important to note that the Recruitment Period for this test has ended. Registration was previously open from January 8 to January 22. For players who have previously completed the recruitment survey on Steam and were selected, don't forget to check your email inbox. The test access code was sent via email before the test officially started.
The developers emphasize that this is a free test. However, due to its early stage nature, all account data and game progress will be wiped after the server closes. Although progress is not saved, participants who take part in test activities have the opportunity to earn exclusive rewards. These rewards can be used when game official release later.
Specifically for this Wanderer Test, the developers provide language support that includes English, Japanese, and Chinese. Access to this test is only available on the PC platform through Windows and Steam Beta.
