Gourmet fantasy-themed anime Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant (Tsuihōsha Shokudō e Yōkoso!) has finally revealed the first teaser that introduces the voice cast and production staff. The adaptation is produced by OLM Team Yoshioka and is scheduled to air in July 2025. With a concept that combines adventure and the culinary world, this anime has the potential to attract fans who love the fusion of fantasy and food.
Story
Story Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant centers on Dennis, a talented adventurer from the Silverwing Battalion, the most respected group of adventurers in the world. However, the leader of his group expels him out of jealousy of Dennis' popularity.
After losing his place, Dennis decides to pursue his true dream as a chef. He opens a restaurant for adventurers with Atelier, a girl who has suffered a similar fate. However, managing a restaurant in an adventurous world presents its own challenges. Not only does he have to serve food that satisfies customers, he also needs to deal with various unexpected situations involving adventurers.
Production Team
The anime adaptation will be produced by OLM Team Yoshioka, with a creative team that includes:

- Music: Masato Koda
- Animation Production: OLM Team Yoshioka
Deko Akao has experience in handling scripts for anime such as Noragami and Komi Can't Communicate, while Masato Koda, who previously worked on the music for Konosuba and various game series, will be handling the audio aspects of this anime.
Two main characters have also been announced with voice actors:
- Shunsuke Takeuchi as Dennis
- Marika Tachibana as Atelier
From Web Novel to Anime Adaptation
Before getting an anime adaptation, Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant was first published as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2018. It was written by Yuki Kimikawa and received a print release in 2019 with illustrations by Gao. Its popularity grew until it was adapted into a manga in 2020, which was worked on by Tsumumi.
Currently, the manga version of the series has also been published in English by Kaiten Books, allowing fans outside of Japan to enjoy the story before the anime adaptation is released.
Expectations and Appeal of This Anime
Gourmet fantasy-themed anime has a special appeal to viewers who enjoy culinary exploration in an adventurous world. However, Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant seems to focus not only on the food, but also on the character interactions and relationship development between customers in the restaurant.
