About Anime Franchise and Production
The anime is based on a light novel written by Honobonoru500 and illustrated by Nama. The series originally started on the website Shosetsuka ni Naro in November 2018. TO Books then took over its publishing in 2019.
A manga adaptation by Fukino was launched on TO Books' Comic Corona manga website in February 2020. Seven Seas Entertainment published the light novel and manga in English.
For the anime adaptation, Studio Massket produced the Season 1 animation that aired from January to March 2024. Naoki Horiuchi directed the anime with Shigeyasu Yamauchi as the chief director. Katsuhiko Takayama was in charge of the series composition, while Kujira Yumemi composed the music. Fengcheng Hu and Yuki Ikeda illustrated the character designs.
In terms of voice actors, Aina Suzuki sang the opening song of Season 1 and voiced the main character Ivy. Mutsumi Tamura plays Ivy's slime friend Sora.
