Kadokawa released the full music video "Colorful Starting Line" as the third and final song of the new series of songs Haruhi Suzumiya. This song is part of the target achievement in the crowdfunding project that started in November 2024.

These three songs were produced after Haruhi Suzumiya's crowdfunding project reached its third target.
The first two songs were composed by Satoru Kōsaki, composer of the anime soundtrack The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and the song "God knows...". The third song, "Colorful Starting Line", was composed by Tsubasa Ito, who has provided the music for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel - Northern War, Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions, and Skeleton Knight in Another World.
Crowdfunding Project Details
This crowdfunding project started on November 15, 2024 and ended on January 15, 2025. On the first day, two initial targets were achieved. The total funds raised reached 86,825,276 yen or about US$ 595,000.
The initial target of 10 million yen was used to create a new song performed by Haruhi, Mikuru, and Nagato, along with a music video featuring 3D models of Haruhi. The second target, of 15 million yen, allowed for the addition of 3D models of Mikuru and Nagato.
Aki Hata wrote the lyrics, while Tomokazu Tashiro acted as the composer. Both are the creators of the ending song "Hare Hare Yukai" from the Haruhi Suzumiya anime.
Exclusive Content for Supporters
In addition to the new song, Haruhi Suzumiya's crowdfunding project also provides an original voice drama starring SOS Brigade voice actors: Aya Hirano, Tomokazu Sugita, Minori Chihara, Yūko Gotō, and Daisuke Ono.
Backer rewards are scheduled to start shipping in early February 2025, while digital backer rewards will be given in the second half of 2025.
New Novel
The latest volume is titled Theater of Haruhi Suzumiya was released simultaneously globally on November 29, 2024. Kadokawa through BookWalker Global and Yen Press released a digital version in English on the same day.
This volume contains two short stories from The Sneaker: Suzumiya Haruhi Gekijō: Fantasy-Hen (August 2004) and Kaete Kita Suzumiya Haruhi Gekijō (June 2006). In addition, there is one new sequel story that continues the two stories.
About Haruhi Suzumiya
Haruhi Suzumiya is a light novel series by Nagaru Tanigawa with illustrations by Noizi Itō. A total of 11 volumes were published between 2003 and 2011, and as of 2017 have over 20 million copies in print. The English version was published by Yen Press and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers in 10 volumes between 2009 and 2013, also available in digital format.
Volume The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya was released in November 2020, followed by the English print version in June 2021.
Anime adaptation The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya first aired in 2006 in a non-linear order, then reaired in 2009 with additional episodes and chronological order. The anime was produced by Kyoto Animation. Movie The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya It aired in 2010 and was released on home video by Bandai Entertainment and Funimation.
The Haruhi Suzumiya franchise also includes various manga adaptations and spin-offs that were made into anime.
