The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest follows the story of Alec, a former court magician who previously supported the crown prince secretly. He was expelled from the kingdom because he only mastered support magic, which was considered useless. Afterward, Alec reunites with his academy mates and embarks on a new journey to build a stronger party.
The main trailer features a series of scenes that introduce the premise of the story, from Alec's interaction with the party to magic-based combat. The PV also features two official theme songs: "Quest" as the opening song performed by Kiro Akiyama, and "Kakera" (Fragments) as the ending song sung by Aruma. Both songs give an early glimpse of the anime's atmosphere ahead of its Fall 2025 premiere.

The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest based on the light novel by Alto with illustrations by Yuunagi. The series was first published in Shosetsuka ni Naro in October 2020. Kodansha later acquired and published it under the K Ranobe Books label since August 2021. The manga adaptation by Yuki Monji was published through Magazine Pocket (app and website), while the English version is available on K MANGA.
Adaptation anime The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest was first announced in March 2025 as a collaborative project of CyberAgent and Kodansha, with GEKKOU handling animation production. The premiere is scheduled for October 4, 2025 (Fall 2025). The release of PVs and key visuals are part of the series of official announcements leading up to the airdate.
