Latest information on anime Magical Girl Raising Project Restart has been officially announced. The announcement was accompanied by the release of a new trailer and visual teaser, as well as confirming the anime's 2026 airdate.
Magical Girl Raising Project Restart Story and Trailer
Magical Girl Raising Project Restart departed from the concept of a social game which can transform selected players into real-life Magical Girls. At one point, an administrator named Fav decided to cut the number of Magical Girls in half, so the competition changed to survival among the 16 participants.
A new trailer has been released, providing an early look at the visuals and atmosphere of this long-awaited sequel. Along with the trailer, a visual teaser featuring some of the characters has also been published.
Production Staff and Voiceover
The production will be handled by a new animation studio, Synergy SP, which replaces Lerche from the previous series. Some of the core staff from the first anime are returning to the project.

Nao Toyama is also confirmed to return to voice her character from the first series, Snow White.

About Magical Girl Raising Project
This anime is an adaptation of the "Restart" arc from the light novel series by Asari Endo with illustrations by Maruino. The novel series itself was first published in June 2012 and reached its 18th volume in November 2023. The "Restart" arc is specifically covered in the second and third volumes.
The first 12-episode anime adaptation aired in October 2016 and was animated by studio Lerche. After the first anime ended, director Hiroyuki Hashimoto stated in December 2016 that a sequel had not been decided at that time. However, in 2023, the franchise's official account teased various initiatives in the works for "Project restart," which has now led to the announcement of this sequel.
