OgreeGames Co., Ltd. has announced its latest mobile otome game, Lucid Tarot. The Ulsan, South Korea-based studio will showcase a playable demo at the Tokyo Game Show 2026. Lucid Tarot combines a tarot card collection system, strategic combat, and AI-driven character conversations.
A Romance of the Occult in Lucid Tarot
*Lucid Tarot* follows a twenty-year-old protagonist. She was initially leading a typical college life. Her life changed after she accidentally met three men. These encounters led her into a series of mysterious incidents involving supernatural tarot cards and dreams that spill over into the real world.
The three male leads each have distinct personalities. Jaeha Yoon plays the role of the gentle first love. Seo-on Han comes across as cheerful but harbors a secret. Ryu Baek is a quiet exorcist with a dangerous charm. Throughout the story, each of them forms a unique bond with the protagonist.
Tarot Card Collection and Battle System
The core gameplay of Lucid Tarot revolves around a card collection and battle system. Players collect everything from basic tarot cards to seasonal art edition cards illustrated by guest artists. Each card has unique attributes and abilities that can be combined to build strategies.
Battles are divided into two types. Regular battles follow the main storyline. Training battles focus on card development. The cycle of building decks, battling, and training cards is the main driving force behind long-term gameplay.
Context-Aware AI Character Conversations
Lucid Tarot does not use pre-written, branching dialogue. Instead, the game employs an AI-based conversation system. The characters in the game remember previous conversations and respond based on the context. This system is what sets Lucid Tarot apart from other otome games.
Lucid Tarot Launch Schedule and Global Expansion
Lucid Tarot will be available on iOS and Android as a free-to-play game. OgreeGames plans to launch the game in South Korea in the fall of 2026. Global service, including Japan, will follow in phases after that. The exact schedule is subject to change depending on the progress of development.
Booth 09-E85 and the Lucky Draw Program at TGS 2026
You can try out the Lucid Tarot demo at booth 09-E85 at the Tokyo Game Show 2026. Visitors can experience tarot card battles and conversations with AI characters firsthand. OgreeGames is also hosting a free prize draw called the “Lucid Tarot Lucky Draw” exclusively for booth visitors. This event is separate from the in-game paid gacha system.
OgreeGames views Japan as a market with strong interest in otome narratives, mysteries, and the occult. The studio is open to collaboration opportunities with local publishers for the Japanese market. Publishers interested in discussing business partnerships can request a meeting at the TGS booth.
