The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has announced an official delegation to the Tokyo Game Show 2026. The delegation consists of 12 leading Pakistani game studios and interactive technology providers. The PSEB operates under Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

This delegation program is supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) through its technical cooperation project. JICA’s support underscores the bilateral collaboration between Pakistan and Japan in the digital creative industries sector.

The Growth of Pakistan’s Gaming and Creative Industries

Pakistan’s gaming, animation, and graphics industries are experiencing rapid expansion. The sector is supported by more than 12,000 game developers, 3D artists, and creative engineers spread across 300 active studios. The industry’s export growth rate has reached 125 percent.

Pakistani studios focus on addressing the operational challenges frequently faced by international publishers. The services they offer range from 3D art production and engineering using Unreal Engine and Unity to quality assurance for live operations and mobile game co-development.

The PSEB also highlighted Pakistan’s cost advantages, noting that operating costs there can be up to 70 percent lower than in Western markets. This combination, coupled with strong English language skills, makes Pakistan a competitive partner for Japanese game developers.
