An Indian game studio, Zatun, officially launched the horror game SCP: Project Pneuma on Steam in Early Access on October 25, 2026. This psychological survival horror game for PC is priced at Rp92,999 on Steam Indonesia, US$9.99 on Steam U.S., and ¥1,400 on Steam Japan.
This Early Access version includes Chapter I, which is complete and playable from start to finish, with a playtime of just over two hours. Chapter II is still in development. Zatun also mentioned that SCP: Project Pneuma will be coming to PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo in the near future.

Surviving After the Foundation Lost Control
SCP: Project Pneuma is inspired by the SCP Foundation universe. The story is set after Project Echelon, a secret protocol that destroyed anomaly containment systems around the world.
You play as Dr. Alexander Kolchak, an SCP Foundation researcher and one of the few survivors of Site-63. Your goal is to cross the eerie exclusion zone to reach Site-19 and uncover the truth behind Project Pneuma.
The farther you go, the more the world around you changes. Reality warps, familiar places begin to crumble, and you’re hunted not only by anomalies, but also by your own mind.
There is no victory through fighting
This game emphasizes stealth, limited resources, and quick thinking. Zatun stresses that you won’t be able to win if you confront SCP-106 head-on, so hiding and evading are often your best options.
Here are some of the key features offered by SCP: Project Pneuma:
- Anomalies such as SCP-173Z, SCP-096Z, SCP-939Z, and SCP-239Z, as well as other threats such as the Infected, zombies, and Gashadokuro
- Hallucinations that make you wonder which door is real and which isn't
- A story revealed through journals, audio recordings, and environmental details
- Environmental puzzles and investigative mechanics
- The exploration areas include an abandoned Foundation facility, dense forests, checkpoints, a mysterious lake, and a hidden research site

On Steam, this game is listed as a first-person single-player experience. Meanwhile, in his latest email, Zatun described the game as a psychological survival horror title that combines both third-person and first-person perspectives.
Why Early Access?
SCP: Project Pneuma was developed and self-published by a small team of four people—two developers and two designers. Through Early Access, they want players to be able to experience Chapter I now while providing feedback as Chapter II is being developed.
Zatun estimates that this game will remain in Early Access for about 6 to 12 months. The full version is planned to include Chapter II, featuring new locations, additional story content, expanded gameplay features, and more anomalous entities.
The price is also expected to increase gradually as the game exits Early Access and new content, such as Chapter II, is released. Zatun has promised to announce any price increases in advance. For now, the team is still working on UI improvements and quality-of-life enhancements, as well as fixing a few minor bugs.
If you're still unsure, you can also try the free demo version of SCP: Project Pneuma, which is still available at Steam.

“A ”love letter” to SCP fans
When the game’s Steam page first went live in July 2025, Zatun founder Abhinav Chokhavatia described the project as a tribute to the SCP community. “We’re creating a love letter to SCP fans, but also a grounded and gripping horror experience for anyone who enjoys narrative-driven games, deep lore, and psychological tension,” he said.
This game was developed under a Creative Commons license, in keeping with the SCP Foundation universe that inspired it.
