A story about the most powerful wizard and an ordinary high school student
The World Within The King’s Proposal faces the threat of destruction roughly once every 300 hours. The wizards quietly save the world by eliminating the “annihilation factor”—an entity capable of destroying the world.
Saika Kuozaki is the only one capable of stopping this threat. However, one day Saika was seriously injured. She then passed on both her powers and her body to Mushiki Kuga, an ordinary high school student who happened to find her.
The problem is, inheriting Saika’s powers doesn’t mean Mushiki can control them. To save the world, Mushiki must attend the wizard academy as Saika, while hiding her true identity.
Comments by Koushi Tachibana and Tsunako
Koushi Tachibana thanked readers for their support. He also revealed that this is his first anime adaptation—excluding sequels—in about 10 years. “I’m feeling a little nervous. It feels like I’m a new writer,” he said.
Tachibana also joked about the many elements in the story that are difficult to animate and apologized to the production staff. Even so, he is confident that the animation will turn out amazing.
Meanwhile, Tsunako expressed her gratitude to the readers and everyone involved. She admitted that she was greatly influenced by the manga version, and that charm is also reflected in the anime. “As soon as the voice acting was added, it felt like the characters immediately came to life. I can’t wait for you all to hear it,” she said.
