The official website has just opened to announce the television adaptation of the light novel series Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden. The story centers on a great heroine who was invincible during her lifetime. She breathed her last with deep regret for never finding an opponent capable of overthrowing her. She never intended to die anywhere other than the battlefield. Her peaceful death made her wish that fate had gone differently.
He then woke up in the body of a young girl named Nia Liston. Her new body was fragile and sickly, a far cry from her physical condition in her previous life. Nia has a long road to recovery before she can return to fighting form.
Nia was determined to make the most of this second chance at life. She has a strong ambition to live and die for this battle. Her nickname “The Merciless Maiden” will be echoed once again as she begins her new struggle with her limited body.
Production Staff
KONAMI animation is acting as the main production studio for this anime. Honoka Inoue has been selected to voice the main character, Nia Liston. Motoki Nakanishi is leading this production as the director after having previously worked on Love Is Indivisible by Twins.
Gigaemon Ichikawa is in charge of the series script, while the character designs are handled by Yuki Ito and Kana Tosaoka. Yuki Ito was previously involved as a key animator in Mob Psycho 100 II OAV. Kana Tosaoka has experience as an in-between animator for the movie Kantai Collection -KanColle-.

About Nia Liston's Storyline: The Merciless Maiden
Umikaze Minamino launched this story on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2019 and ended it in 2021. Hobby Japan began publishing the physical novel with illustrations by Jishaku in September 2022. Katana Canata then took over the novel's illustration duties starting the third volume in 2023.
The anime gives original character design credits to both illustrators. Hobby Japan will publish the 10th volume of the novel on January 30. The manga adaptation is by Kabuto Kodai and launches on Square Enix's Manga UP! service in 2022.
Square Enix has published the manga's first compilation book in May 2023. The eighth volume of the manga is scheduled for release on February 6. Manga service UP! Global is also publishing the manga in English for international readers.
