Resident Evil Requiem officially released on February 27, 2026 on various platforms. Welcoming the game, Capcom held an event launching in Jakarta on the date of February 28 to March 1, 2026 at LG Mini Atrium, Gandaria City.
We also attended the event on the first day and felt the enthusiasm of Resident Evil fans in Indonesia. These fans had been present since the mall opened to queue for the exciting activities, hands-on games, and shopping merchandise exclusive.
Main Stage fun at Resident Evil Requiem launch event
To enliven this event Capcom prepared a series of exciting events on the main stage. The event started with an opening speech which was immediately followed by a quiz session to increase fan enthusiasm. In this quiz session, Capcom distributed exclusive merchandise and the fans were so enthusiastic that they raised their hands before being asked by the two hosts after seeing the questions.
After the quiz session there was a message from RE Requiem developers Kōshi Nakanishi and Masato Kumazawa, that they were very happy to hold this event in Jakarta and thanked all the fans for their support and patience waiting for the release of this game. The next part of the event was a Let's Play RE Requiem session with RESILORID and then followed by an event of Cosplay Walk. Sessions Cosplay Walk It was enlivened by the Resident Evil fan community who dressed up as characters from the Resident Evil universe.

Fun activities at the activity booth
Not only fun activities on the main stage, there are also booths that offer exciting experiences for fans. Here are the booths available and the activities that can be done:
- Booth Hands-On: At the booth, visitors were able to try the demo of RE Requiem on Windows PC, Playstation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms. Visitors who wanted to try the game were given a set duration, but could not choose which platform they wanted to try it on.
- Zombie Hunting Ground: At the booth shooting range In this Resident Evil theme, visitors will use a wooden gun and shoot targets to collect scores. If visitors get a certain score, they will have the opportunity to get exclusive prizes from Capcom. The prizes are Umbrella Corporation Enamel Pin, Raccoon City Welcome Sign Acrylic Keychain, and Resident Evil Requiem Edition Lanyard.
- Raccoon City Photo Spot: This photo booth is themed around Racoon City's iconic corner spot where visitors can take photos and videos to capture the moment. After that, visitors can also upload to social media with #RE9LaunchJakarta2026, follow and tag Instagram accounts @capcomsg to get the Resident Evil Requiem Sticker Set.
- Memorable Main Playable Character Voting: Visitors can vote for the main character playable the most memorable of the Resident Evil series. Result update voting This will be done live during the event, and the final results will be announced during the event.

Aside from the exciting activities at the main stage and activity booths, there is also a sales booth. Here, visitors can purchase official merchandise as long as supplies are available, because by the time we were there, it had run out by two o'clock in the afternoon.
