The Social Deduction genre has another new title with a fairly unique theme, namely the battle between the firefighting team and the arsonist. Publisher Aniplex together with developers tri-Ace and Lasengle have just announced their latest game entitled OCTOPinbs.

Mechanic Role at OCTOPinbs
Each match will have three to ten players online. The system will randomly assign roles to each player before the game starts.
You can either be Firefighters in the form of an octopus, or Artists in the form of a squid. Both camps must outsmart each other to achieve their respective victory conditions.
This game demands a high level of observation from each player. The saboteurs in the opposing camp might concoct clever hoaxes to trick you.
However, their actions on the pitch can never lie. You need to be observant of each player's movements around the playing area.
OCTOPinbs Victory Objective
The Firefighters team is tasked with extinguishing the flames spread across the stage. They win if they manage to reduce the stage burn rate to zero percent.
Another way to win is to take out all the Artists and put them into Octojars. While spraying water, you need to keep an eye out for other players who look suspicious.
On the other hand, the Artists team is in charge of spreading the fire all over the stage. They win if the stage burn rate reaches one hundred percent.
They can also win by taking out all the Firefighters and putting them in the Octojars.
Players in the Artists camp can disguise themselves by spraying water on the fire like a real firefighter. While mingling with other players, they have to find the safest opening to spread more fire without being spotted by the opposing team.
Revive System and Octojars Features
The character you play can receive damage from other players' attacks or from the flames. If the HP indicator reaches zero, the character will lose the body that is being borrowed.
You must quickly run to the fire truck area to grab a new body and get back into the action. Losing a body in the middle of a match will waste valuable time for your team.
The Octojars feature serves to reveal the true identity of suspicious players. The decision to use this mechanic should be well thought out as it comes with its own risks and benefits:
- If the helmeted player inserted into the Octojars is an Artist, the Firefighters team instantly wins.
- If an innocent Firefighter is included, the Firefighters team will lose a partner and will have to continue the game more cautiously.
Artists' Secret Ace
Artists' strongholds have special abilities that serve as secret aces. They can choose to reveal their true identity openly.
Consequently, their location will be immediately obvious to the rest of the Firefighters team. In return, Artists will gain powerful new abilities.
They receive a drastic increase in mobility as well as a significant boost in HP capacity. This feature is especially useful when the Artists' camp is nearing the victory target.
This ability can also be used as a last resort to disrupt the stage when the situation is dire.
Interactive Lobby Feature
In addition to the intense main gameplay, the game also provides an interactive lobby area. Inside the lobby, you can make various preparations before the match begins:
- Practice various basic actions to familiarize yourself with the game controls.
- View the game tutorial to understand the mechanics more deeply.
- Communicate easily between players using a variety of options emotes.
- Perform customization match rules to make the gaming experience feel more in line with the group's preferences.
OCTOPinbs Release Schedule
The game is scheduled to release for the PC platform via Steam in the Spring of 2026. Upon release, the game will support multiple language options to reach global players.
