Square Enix and Claytechworks released new information about The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (Elliot: Millennium Tales), an HD-2D action RPG game that will be released on June 18, 2026. Quoted from Gematsu, this latest update introduces Age of Budding - The most distant era in Elliot and Faie's time travel past - along with new characters and a more detailed magic system.
A Journey Across Four Eras
The heart of the story The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is the passage of time to lift the curse that befell Princess Heuria of Huther. Elliot and Faie will cross four different eras:
- Age of Safekeeping - The present
- Age of Reconstruction - The Dark Ages
- Age of Magic - The Golden Age
- Age of Budding - Birth of Civilization (latest update)
Age of Budding: Dawn of Civilization
Age of Budding is the earliest era in Elliot and Faie's journey - the dawn of human civilization. In this era, humans used homemade weapons to deal with threats from animal tribes.
Amidst the fragile balance between man and beast, there is a tribe called Myū who can speak human languages and wield powerful magic. Is their power a new hope or a new threat? This is the big question facing humanity in this era.
New Characters in Age of Budding
Three new characters were introduced in this era:
- Kai (voice: Brandon McInnis/Yoshimasa Hosoya) - Young village chief Hitoyori, focused on protecting the village from the threat of a beast tribe
- Hirk (voice: Nadia Marshall/Yukana) - The Hitoyori woman who spent years studying magic, believes magic is the key to the future of the village.
- Lyudmila (voice: Allegra Clark/Mamiko Noto) - Myū woman who eventually taught magic to humans
Faie Magic System
Faie can learn new magic skills in Shrines of the Mystic that are scattered throughout Philabieldia. Two main magics are introduced:
- Ignite - Light the torch, melt the ice, explode the bomb; the versatile magic of fire
- Vacuum - Pull enemies and objects around; can be used to knock enemies off the edge of cliffs
