Capcom has announced the Year 4 Character Pass for Street Fighter 6, which will introduce four new characters: Yasmine, Arjun, and Tifa from the series Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Bosch. Tifa is the most iconic guest character to ever join Street Fighter 6 since game This is the first release.
Release Schedule for Four New Characters
The four Year 4 characters will be released in stages throughout 2026 and 2027:
- Yasmine (Summer 2026) — A high school student from the Philippines searching for his missing older brother. He uses a crescent-shaped karambit knife to move at high speeds, just as his grandfather taught him.
- Arjun (Fall 2026) — An Indian police officer accused of killing a colleague is now on the run. He uses a technique called Bare-knuckle Yoga, which combines extraordinary lung capacity with explosive strength
- Tifa (Early 2027) — Members of the “AVALANCHE” resistance group and practitioners Zangan-ryu Martial Arts. In the story Street Fighter 6, Tifa suddenly finds herself transported to another world and meets new fighters
- Bosch (Spring 2027) — The second protagonist of World Tour mode, who has won the sacred martial arts tournament in Nayshall and is now training under Luke’s guidance in Metro City
Tifa: A Guest Character from Final Fantasy VII
Tifa Lockhart's appearance as a guest character was the main highlight of Year 4. This character is widely known from Final Fantasy VII the original (1997) and the series Final Fantasy VII Remake modern. In Street Fighter 6, Tifa relies on close-range combat that combines martial arts techniques with special abilities known as Abilities.
This isn't the first time Street Fighter 6 featuring guest characters from other franchises. Previously, the game has featured characters from various popular IPs as part of Capcom’s DLC strategy, which has proven successful in attracting new players.
New Original Character
In addition to Tifa, Capcom also introduced two new original fighters to expand the roster. Yasmine brings a Filipino representative to Street Fighter 6, while Arjun showcases a unique yoga-based fighting style from India.
These two characters highlight the cultural diversity that has become one of the country’s greatest strengths Street Fighter 6 since its initial release.
