Arknights: Endfield will receive the “Homecoming” update on July 16, 2026. This free update features the continuation of the main story, a new map, a new playable Operator, an expansion of the AIC system, new activities, quality-of-life improvements, and Half-Year Celebration Rewards.

According to RUA, co-founder and level designer, “Homecoming” marks an important milestone for the Wuling arc. The story in this update will bring the Endministrator back together with Arcane and the people of Wuling in their quest to reclaim their homeland.

Arknights: Endfield Homecoming Continues the Wuling Arc

In the “Homecoming” update, the story of Wuling enters a crucial phase. Ten years after the Very Large Rift destroyed the Wuling Science Station and forced many residents to flee, the development of the Xiranite Nexus finally offers a chance to mitigate the impact of that disaster.

Players will reunite with Arcane and help the people of Wuling in their campaign to reclaim their long-lost territory.

This update introduces two new main-story maps:

  • Yinglung Pass: The gateway to the sealed zone. In this area, players encounter Si, a mysterious figure known as the Feranmut Proxy, who guides them through the final enhancement process for the Xiranite Nexus.
  • North Wuling Exclusion Zone: The Wuling homeland, now in ruins and overrun by the Blight Miasma. Players must neutralize the source of the miasma and clear a safe path for the Wuling people who wish to return.

“Homecoming” also introduces a new equipment category—personal devices—that grant access to exploration tools with practical effects. The new enemy, the Blightshade, appears as a remnant of humanity and emotions stored by the Aether.

For the new boss, players will face Alleikhreos, the Chiliarch, who requires the use of specific battlefield mechanics to stop some of his attacks.

Arknights: Endfield Adds Arcane and Liino

This update introduces two new playable Operators: Arcane and Liino.

Arcane is the flagship Operator in “Homecoming.” He is the captain of the Yinglung Special Task Force and plays a central role in Wuling’s story.

Arknights: Endfield (Gryphline)

Arcane is the first caster whose combat form changes based on the balance between Intellect and Will attributes. In the Array Arcana: INT form, Arcane focuses on frequent skill use, area damage, and Corrosion. In the Array Arcana: WILL form, it relies more on grouping enemies, stronger debuffs, and the spread of Arts Infliction.

With this design, Arcane can be used as a damage dealer or support for an elemental team.

Liino is known as the Morning Star of La Fantoma, an idol who mysteriously disappeared before a concert at Valley VI. In the game, Liino is an Electric supporter who uses the Vocalist Stance and Cosmovoice Stance to provide continuous attack and healing boosts.

Liino also has low-cost battle skills and combo skills that are easy to activate in various situations. This kit allows her to support many elemental compositions and boost the squad’s survivability without disrupting the main skill rotation.

Arknights: Endfield Expands the AIC System

The AIC system has undergone a major expansion with the addition of a new material state: Gas. This addition comes with new resources, machinery, recipes, technologies, and production lines.

Players can collect Inergen and Xiragen, then transform these materials between gaseous, liquid, and solid states. This process can skip several production stages, reduce the need for machinery, and support a more compact factory layout.

For example, players can produce Xiranite directly from Carbon and Clean Water in an Inergen environment. This process eliminates three intermediate steps.

This update also introduces the Pyrrolite Component, more precise logistics controls, and a new industrial outpost called the Xiranflow Cloudseeder Station.

New Activities and Quality-of-Life Improvements

“Homecoming” introduces “Echoes of War,” a permanent seasonal combat mode featuring rotating stages, three difficulty levels, ratings, and seasonal titles that can be displayed.

All Oroberyl rewards from Echoes of War can be earned on normal difficulty. Higher difficulties are available for players seeking additional challenges and prestige.

Other features included in this update are:

  • HEAT RAGE! MEGA ARENA!: Combat activity for two Operators that focuses on unusual character pairings.
  • The Rooted Realm: Timed exploration and collection activities featuring hidden routes and special combat rooms.

This update also adds a new challenge for the Umbral Monument and six puzzle maps for Delver of the Cryptic.

For new players, the early unlock feature allows access to Wuling after completing the early main-story requirement. This feature will not interfere with players' progress in Chapter One.

Operators who complete the trials will receive a fully refined Arsenal Defense Crate. Equipment-manufacturing processes have also been made more flexible so that character preparation requires less time and fewer resources.

Quality-of-life improvements include an expanded photo mode, remote retrieval for outdoor equipment, preserved conduit connections in blueprints, more easily customizable combat visuals and targeting options, and support for new graphics technologies such as DLSS 4.5, PSSR2, and FSR 3.
