HoYoverse announced a new game called Nodusfall. The announcement took place during the gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live. Nodusfall is a co-op action game set in a multi-mythological universe, featuring realistic visuals and team-based combat.
In this game, the world order has collapsed and divine authority has been shattered. Players take on the role of the Weaver, a figure who forges bonds with powerful allies. The Weaver stands alongside their allies against incredibly powerful mythological enemies.

The Story Behind the World of Nodusfall
Nodusfall draws inspiration from various mythological traditions around the world. The game’s world stands on its own, with landscapes, civilizations, and a divine order that follow their own logic.
The game's visual style is realistic. The mythical continent in this game is teeming with legendary creatures, ranging from ancient beasts rooted in classical Eastern mythology to Western-style dragons that portend disaster.
The main story of Nodusfall is an original tale. A mysterious figure named Dreadnodi appears and spreads corruption throughout the land. Dreadnodi turns legendary creatures into evil beings, and the world is destroyed as a result.
Players step into this shattered world as Weaver. Weaver is a figure shaped and enlightened by divine power, who is then entrusted with a sacred mission that could change the fate of the world.
Weaver must confront the corrupted beings and sever the roots of the Dreadnodi. They must also seize the remaining divine power. The ultimate goal is to restore order to the world.
Gameplay and Team Combat System
Players will assemble a squad to battle mythological creatures. Each battle tests both teamwork and tactical flexibility.
Players can choose different Styles and Skill combinations for their characters. These options open up a wide range of tactical approaches, which can be adapted to the flow of battle and the team’s needs.
The team must work together to keep the enemy under constant pressure. This pressure forces even the strongest enemies to reveal their weaknesses, allowing players to deliver the finishing blow.
Defeating powerful enemies will yield resources. These resources are used to unlock new skills and weapons, making the player’s character build stronger and expanding their tactical options.
A Fusion of Eastern and Western Mythology
One of the appeals of Nodusfall is its blend of mythological motifs from various cultures. HoYoverse uses these motifs as the foundation for the story, yet the final result remains original.

HoYoverse has not yet announced a release date or official platforms for Nodusfall. Players can already pre-register via Nodusfall's official website.
Nodusfall joins the long list of IPs owned by HoYoverse. Previously, HoYoverse already had Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis, and Zenless Zone Zero. Now, HoYoverse is venturing into the co-op action genre with a touch of world mythology.
