Fall in Love, You False Angels has released a new trailer for its anime series. The trailer also announces the main voice cast ahead of its 2027 premiere. Studio MAPPA is handling the animation production based on the award-winning manga by Coco Uzuki.
Otogi and Toki: Two Perfect Facades Hiding Their True Selves
The story centers on Otogi Katsura, the class president who is seen as perfect by those around her. She works hard to maintain that image and hides her true personality in public.
A conflict arises when Toki Ninomae sees Otogi’s true self. Toki then reveals his own hidden side and refers to Otogi as his partner. Their relationship develops throughout the story.

About Fall in Love, You False Angels
The manga Fall in Love, You False Angels first appeared in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in April 2023. Its original Japanese title is Koi Seyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo. The manga won the 49th Kodansha Manga Award in the shojo category in 2025, and Kodansha USA has already released an English-language version.
"Fall in Love, You False Angels" isn't MAPPA's first shojo project. The studio previously worked on the anime "Banana Fish" in 2018 and the film "The Rose of Versailles" in 2025, which was directed by Ai Yoshimura and streamed on Netflix following its theatrical release in Japan.
MAPPA will likely announce the exact air date and additional staff details closer to 2027.
