YANEURA GAMES Inc. is developing *In Us*, a cooperative horror game for PC via Steam. The game supports up to four players simultaneously. The development team will showcase the latest demo of *In Us* at the Tokyo Game Show 2026.
A Village Haunted by Demons: Four Players on a Mission to Set It Free
In Us takes place in a village whose residents are possessed by demons. Players must work together to drive out the source of the possession. They can pick up, throw, and destroy objects around the village to gather clues leading to the source.
The Devil can attack at any time without warning. Players need to help each other—either by covering teammates who are destroying objects or by hiding until the danger has passed. Communication and team coordination are key to surviving.
Collect Residue, Track Magagiri, Perform an Exorcism
Destroying objects in the village yields Residue, traces of the Magagiri that serve as a source of possession. Players must analyze the Residue to narrow down the entity’s location.
This process takes place in three stages:
- Destroy objects and collect Residue
- Analyzing Residue to Track Magagiri's Location
- Surrounding and performing an exorcism with the team
The demon remains a threat throughout the search and analysis process. After finding Magagiri, players must surround him. Some team members hold him in place, while others attack.
Go Home Now or Take a Chance on a Bigger Prize
Loot also serves as a reward if taken home. However, the longer players stay in the village, the greater the danger that lurks. Players can continue exploring even after defeating Magagiri.
Players must decide together when the right time is to go home. They can choose to go home while everyone is still safe, or take a risk on one more round for a bigger prize. The condition of their teammates is a key factor in this decision.
