While at Tokyo Game Show 2024, the PlayEatSleep team had the opportunity to visit the booth of Toge Productions, an Indonesian game developer and publisher that has released quite a few well-known games such as A Space For The Unbound and Coffee Talk. At TGS 2024, Toge Productions showcased its latest game, Kriegsfront Tactics. We tried it for about 20 minutes and were very impressed with the game.
Kriegsfront Tactics is a turn-based strategy game that brings Front Mission-style tactical mecha combat elements flavored with XCOM-like gameplay mechanics. Some of our favorite gameplay mechanics include a feature that allows players to target and destroy certain parts of enemy mechas as well as an overwatch feature that adds tactical detail to the game.
To the PlayEatSleep team, Toge Productions' Head of Production Management, Frederick Tirta, said Kriegsfront Tactics began development around 2019. Although the development had experienced ups and downs, they managed to release the prologue version on Steam which can be played for free since July 17, 2024.
Coming back to Kriegsfront Tactics, as fans of Front Mission, XCOM, and mecha games like Armored Core, we can say this game presents mecha combat very well. From the mecha models, combat equipment, animations, to the sound effects, we were very impressed with this game.
Another thing we like about this game is the voice acting. Yes, this game has English voice acting that is of very good quality.All this shows that Toge Productions is very serious in developing this game. Maybe Kriegsfront Tactics will even become their flagship in the future.
Toge Productions still hasn't revealed when Kriegsfront Tactics will be released. If you want to try this game, you can play the prologue version for free via Steam. Don't forget to put Kriegsfront Tactics on your wishlist!
