Microsoft Employees Lose Free Access to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft is preparing to remove the free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for around 238,000 employees. Those who are not directly part of the Xbox division will no longer receive a free Xbox Game Pass subscription.
According to The Verge, Microsoft began informing employees of the new policy this week. However, for employees who still want to access Xbox Game Pass, they can subscribe for 12 months at a discounted price.
Naturally, some employees raised their objections internally. Interestingly, Xbox boss Phil Spencer revealed that he didn't know about it, so he immediately investigated the matter.

Microsoft Cancels Free Xbox Game Pass for Employees

After Spencer's investigation, Microsoft confirmed and announced that their employees will not lose their Game Pass subscriptions.
According to The Verge, Spencer apologized for the confusion and stated that there will be no changes to the availability of Game Pass for employees.
In other Microsoft news, the company recently announced that it will be raising prices for the Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.
In the United States, Game Pass will increase by $1 to $11 per month, and Game Pass Ultimate will increase by $2 to $17 per month.
On the other hand, the price of Xbox Game Pass in Indonesia is still in dollars, that is:
- PC & Core Console: $9.99/per month.
- PC Ultimate & Console Ultime: $16.99/per month.
