ReStory will be available on Android devices via Google Play in 2026. The game is developed by Mandragora and published by tinyBuild. According to information from Gematsu, the two companies announced this version of Android along with a new trailer.
Previously, ReStory had already been released for PC via Steam on August 6, 2026. With the Android version, players can play this game on their smartphones.
What is ReStory?
ReStory is a simulation game about an electronics repair shop. The game is set in an urban area in Japan during the Y2K era, or around the early 2000s. In this game, you’ll run your own repair shop.
ReStory’s core gameplay focuses on three things: device repairs, shop management, and interacting with customers. The game also features a laid-back atmosphere, allowing players to enjoy it at a leisurely pace.
The publisher tinyBuild is known for publishing games such as Hello Neighbor and Graveyard Keeper. Meanwhile, Mandragora serves as the developer of ReStory.
The Android version of ReStory is scheduled for 2026
The Android version of ReStory will be available on Google Play. This announcement was made in October 2026. This means the Android version is scheduled to be released before the end of this year.
Along with the announcement, tinyBuild and Mandragora also released an Android Announcement Trailer. The trailer shows the atmosphere of the repair shop and some of the devices players can repair.

More than 500,000 copies have been sold on Steam
According to Gematsu, ReStory has sold more than 500,000 copies on Steam. This figure was reached in about two months after the game’s release on PC.
These figures show that ReStory has attracted a large number of players on PC. The Android version will bring this game to a second platform. Players who don’t have a PC will also be able to try this game.
Repairing electronic devices from the 2000s
Customers come to your store with all kinds of broken devices. The types of devices you can repair are quite varied.
Here are a few examples:
- Cell Phone
- Video game consoles and handhelds
- Digital pets
- Music player
- Camera
- Household appliances
The repair process is carried out in stages. You can unscrew the screws, clean the components, solder them, repaint them, and then reassemble the device. The goal is to get the device working again.
Each step is performed manually by the player. Therefore, you need to examine every part of the device carefully.
Store Management and Customer Stories
In addition to repairs, ReStory also features shop management elements. You’ll need to take orders and manage the shop’s finances. You’ll also need to find spare parts to complete the jobs.
Spare parts can be purchased online through an old-school-style browser within the game. This feature fits with the early 2000s tech theme that ReStory embraces. So, you’re not just repairing devices—you’re also managing your store’s inventory and expenses.
Each customer also has their own story. You can talk to them and hear their stories. According to tinyBuild, the player’s decisions will affect the customers’ lives and the shop’s development. The game’s storyline is non-linear and has several branches.
Licensed Atari consoles at ReStory
ReStory has partnered with Atari. Through this partnership, the game features officially licensed Atari consoles that players can repair. Two examples are the Atari 2600 and the Atari Jaguar.
The Atari 2600 was first released in 1977, while the Atari Jaguar was released in 1993. Both consoles have long since been discontinued. In addition to Atari consoles, ReStory also features devices inspired by popular consoles, handhelds, and gadgets from the 2000s.
ReStory is now available on PC via Steam. The Android version is scheduled to launch on Google Play in 2026. For those of you who play more often on smartphones, the Android version could be a great way to try out ReStory.
