The Story of BLACK TORCH and an Overview of Its Conflict

This latest announcement highlights the trailer, visuals, and theme song, but the core story of BLACK TORCH remains the main element that captures viewers’ attention. The series centers on Jiro Azuma, the main character who is connected to the world of the mononoke through Rago, his partner who accompanies him.

Based on the details revealed so far, BLACK TORCH features supernatural action involving humans, mononoke, and a special anti-mononoke unit all caught up in a single conflict. The fact that Black Torch is a special operations unit suggests that the story will unfold through missions, battles, and threats from a larger adversary.

The appearance of Koga and Tenki in the latest key visual also hints at the main conflict the characters will face in the story.
