Ahead of its premiere in April, the anime adaptation of Snowball Earth has shared another important update. The official website has just released a major Promotional Video that shows more visual details.
This update also reveals the ending song and the additional voice actors who will be joining the series. This latest information will provide a clearer picture of the production quality on offer.
Snowball Earth Theme Song and Showtime
Through the latest Promotional Video, the production team revealed that singer Ai Higuchi will be performing the Ending Theme. The ending song is titled “Ima Kono Mune ni Tagiru no wa” or “What is Surging in My Heart Now”. Ai Higuchi's music is sure to close each episode with an emotional feel.
The short trailer also returns to showcase the Opening Theme titled “Zero”. The opening song is performed by singer tuki, which marks her first debut in composing a theme song for a production. anime.

To celebrate the announcement of the Ending Theme, original manga creator Yuhiro Tsujitsugu specially drew a commemorative illustration.

In addition, the airing details are also getting clearer. The anime is scheduled to premiere on April 3, 2026.
Snowball Earth Brief Synopsis
The story takes place in 2025 when giant monsters from outside the galaxy attack Earth. Humanity fights back using a giant robot named Yukio controlled by pilot Tetsuo Yabusame.
As the alien swarm presses on, Tetsuo and the Earth Defense Force are deployed for a final battle. Unfortunately, they lose and Yukio's robot is destroyed in battle.
Tetsuo managed to survive using the Escape Pod. After eight years in Cold Sleep, the Escape Pod finally landed back on Earth.
When Tetsuo awakens, he finds a devastated world completely frozen under a layer of ice and snow. The focus of the story will follow Tetsuo's journey in the frozen world to find out the fate of humanity and fulfill his final promise to Yukio.

This original manga by Yuhiro Tsujitsugu was first launched in Publisher Shogakukan's Monthly Spirits magazine in 2021. Shogakukan published the tenth volume of the compilation book last December.
