Yunyun Syndrome Now Has a Final Release Date
Previously, Yunyun Syndrome was only announced for an April 2026 release window without a more specific date. Now, the game is confirmed to launch on April 23, 2026 at 9:00 pm PT or April 24, 2026 at 12:00 pm ET.
Along with the announcement, the X/Official Twitter for this game has also been opened.
Yunyun Syndrome's Release Schedule Has Been Shifted Several Times
If you follow its journey since last year, the game's release schedule has indeed changed several times. In PlayEatSleep coverage during Tokyo Game Show 2025, Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm Psychosis was originally scheduled for release on October 30, 2025.
However, the schedule was later shifted to Winter 2025.
After that, the game's release was delayed again to April 2026 without an exact date. That update previously signaled that the game still needed additional time before it was actually ready for release.
Now, the schedule changes have finally led to a final release date of April 24, 2026.
Yunyun Syndrome Continues to Carry the Concept of Rhythm Adventure
Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm Psychosis is a rhythm adventure game that follows Qtie, a hikikomori who spends his time listening to denpa songs and making anonymous posts on the internet.
This game combines rhythm sessions with social media elements. At the beginning of the song, players can monitor social media activity in the game.
After that, the game goes into the main part when posting starts to take place intensely. Successful posts will affect other users in the game world.
The effect is described as the spread of the “Yunyun-brain” that makes other users become “Yunyun-ified.”
Qtie, Yunyun, and Over 30 Songs
In addition to Qtie, this game also features Yunyun, Yunyun is a fictional character who speaks to Qtie through a monitor screen. Yunyun's own existence is not exactly explained, but is related to Qtie's delusions and imagination.
In terms of content, Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm Psychosis will present more than 30 denpa songs and multiple endings. One of the songs that came along was “it's a cherry kissing explosion” (Sakuranbo Kiss).
The game's story also touches on Qtie's reasons for becoming a hikikomori, how anonymous posts can affect the world around her, and how her story will end.
With a release date now locked in, the wait for Yunyun Syndrome doesn't seem like it will last much longer. The game will arrive on Steam on April 24, 2026.
