Shocking news comes from the world of VTuber International. Ironmouse, one of the most recognizable talents from the VShojo agency, officially announced his retirement.
In his statement, he said VShojo had not paid him his personal income and funds. charity worth more than half a million dollars that has yet to be disbursed. Following the announcement, a number of other VTubers also announced their resignations separately.
Ironmouse reveals charity fund issues at VShojo
Ironmouse explained that fundraising for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) derived from income during subathon which he organized via Twitch in 2023. Because it doesn't use a platform like Tiltify, charity funds must first be channeled through an agency.
After subathon The first one was a success, he organized subathon the following year. According to Ironmouse, his second subathon raised over $515,000 for the IDF. However, until the announcement video was released, he said the funds had not yet been delivered.
"Despite the large amount of money raised for charity, it has yet to be sent to the IDF," Ironmouse said.
Ironmouse also shared that he is now an independent VTuber, and all the revenue from the announcement video will go directly to IDF.
Wave of resignations after Ironmouse's statement
The day after Ironmouse's announcement, more than half of VShojo's active talent announced their resignation.

Some of them don't mention Ironmouse directly, however Kuro via X / Twitter stated:
"I actually don't want to say anything until it's official, but because there's a lot of speculation, I'm not going to stay here. I have submitted my resignation contract and had a meeting 11 days ago. The reason the VShojo logo is still there is because they haven't removed it themselves... I guess I'm an indie now LOL."
Projekt Melody via X / Twitter, one of the first generation talents, also confirmed his departure:
"I waited quite a long time to make a statement because I often feel anxious and find it difficult to express words. But, yes, I am leaving VShojo. I was an early talent, I gave my all to this agency. But I'm really devastated by what happened, and I never imagined I would have to say this."
Kson via X / Twitter revealed that he has not received any revenue from streaming activities since October 2024. He submitted his resignation through a live stream while having a dialog with the CEO of VShojo's Japan branch, and add the following statement:
"I'm really embarrassed because I used to always say good things about this company, but it turned out to be all nonsense. Please laugh at me. Why am I so stupid? Why do I always try to see the good in people when they don't care? Of course, it's all about the money. Without money, I'm nothing to the corporation."
Michi, AmaLee, and other talents confirm exit
Several other talents also confirmed their retirement in close proximity.

Michi Mochievee via Twitch stated that he had left and mentioned the agency's payment obligations.
AmaLee via X / Twitter, who joined in January 2025, also shared his decision to return to being an independent creator:
"As of today I am officially ending my contract with VShojo and returning to being an independent VTuber and creator. My content will not change, as I've been indie for 18 years before joining VShojo, and I'm keeping my IP completely. My love to all the other talents, I wish you success. Thank you for your support, let's continue our journey."
Henya the Genius and Hime Hajime was included in the list that also declared their departure from the agency.
Previously Exited Talents
Zentreya, Geega, and Matara Ken are known to have left VShojo within three months of Ironmouse's announcement. There is no official information linking their decision to this issue.
Phillip "MowtenDoo" Fortunat, co-founder of VShojo, also announced that he is leaving the company in May 2025 as stated by via his official X/Twitter account.
Talents who removed VShojo affiliation without an official statement
Names such as Apricot the Lich, Akatsuki Hotaru, Hestia Happiness, Okamoto Nagi, and Yutori Peke have been seen removing their agency affiliation labels from their social media profiles. As of now, no official statement has been given by them regarding their membership status.
VShojo has yet to make an official statement
Until now, no official clarification has been given by VShojo management regarding Ironmouse's statement or the resignation of several other talents. Account official X / Twitter the agency has removed all affiliate listings from its profile. In addition, the merchandise store on their official website is currently inaccessible.
