Official website for the anime adaptation Iron Wok Jan has finally released the first teaser trailer. The announcement also featured key visuals that showcased the latest character designs.

Anime adaptation of the classic cooking manga is scheduled for release in 2026. The latest visuals highlight the appearance of the main characters in a modern animated format.

Meanwhile, the promotional video shows action footage from Studio TROYCA. The video depicts the intense kitchen atmosphere at Gobancho Hanten.

Synopsis of Iron Wok Jan

The story focuses on Jan Akiyama, a highly competitive Chinese chef. Jan arrived at Gobancho Hanten with a unique philosophy.

As the grandson of legendary chef Kaiichiro Akiyama, he was raised under strict culinary discipline. Jan believes that cooking is essentially about beating your opponent in a fight.

Jan's views are in stark contrast to Kiriko Gobancho. Kiriko is the heiress of a restaurant that is already considered a top-tier chef. She holds the principle that food should be made for the customer.

His delicate decorative knife technique was in stark contrast to Jan's rough style. This difference in philosophy often sparked conflicts between them.

In addition to these two characters, this story also features Takao Okonogi. Takao works as an apprentice at Gobancho Hanten.

Despite his inexperience, he has poise under pressure. Takao quickly forms a bond with Jan despite the new chef's harsh personality.
