Chess and roguelike fans will soon get a unique new challenge. Developer Blukulele along with publishers Sidekick Publishing and Stray Fawn Publishing announced the release schedule for Gambonanza.

This turn-based chess roguelike game is set to launch on May 1 for PC and mobile devices.

Chess Gameplay Evolution in Gambonanza

Game It transforms the traditional chess game into a strategy-heavy roguelike adventure. This innovative approach is reminiscent of Balatro's successful overhaul of the classic card game. Victory is no longer determined by simply checkmating your opponent's king.

You must capture each piece on the board using various synergies. The game board is smaller in size to create high strategic tension.

If you waste too many steps, the board will start to crumble around you. Every element of the game works in harmony to help players defeat various challenging bosses.
