Story: Logan Fights Reavers and Bolivar Trask
In the gameplay trailer, Logan is stalking a group of mutants who were captured by Reavers-a heavily armed mercenary cybernetic militia. The Reavers planned to hand over the mutants to their client, Bolivar Trask, a billionaire industrialist obsessed with human superiority over mutants.
Other important characters are Jean Grey, Trask, a powerful telekinetic who became the leader of the captured mutants. Logan and Jean were forced to work together against Trask's forces. Mutants live in the shadows, fearing the hunters, while the general public is unaware of their existence. The only hope of protection is Team X, a mutant task force that is facing its darkest hour.
Combat System: Brutal, Fast, and Full of Rage
Combat Marvel's Wolverine designed to feel brutal and fluid. Logan can stalk enemies, attack from above, or charge straight in with a quick claw attack. Some confirmed combat mechanics:
- Techniques: Special combat moves like Tornado Spin and Bull Rush
- Critical Strikes: Deadly finishing move that can be done solo or with other characters like Jean Grey.
- Rage System: Every attack, parry, and kill fills the Rage meter for more powerful attacks or activates the Healing Factor.
- Rage Tier 3: A comic-inspired explosion of monochromatic ferocity Black, White, and Blood
- Last Stand: Healing Factor activation when Logan is near death
One of the set pieces featured is a highway chase scene on a motorcycle, where Logan can smash trucks, slash tires, and throw enemies off the road.
