Chihiro’s new look also reinforces that impression. She appears in a black coat, accompanied by the black carp that has become synonymous with the series. This combination of elements creates a dark and intense atmosphere, while also clarifying the direction of the anime adaptation, which emphasizes swordplay and the main character’s personal conflicts.
Kagurabachi Continues Its Promotion Through an Anime World Tour
Along with the release of Chihiro’s character art and trailer, Kagurabachi It also highlights the Anime World Tour Part 1 series, which kicks off at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles. The tour will also make stops at Japan Expo, AnimagiC, and Anime NYC 2026.

The Story of Kagurabachi
This anime is based on the premise of revenge, which is the central theme of the manga Kagurabachi. Chihiro Rokuhira is a boy who dreams of becoming a swordsmith and trains daily with his father, Kunishige, a renowned swordsmith.
Life was turned upside down after an attack by a mysterious organization of wizards called Hishaku. During that incident, six Enchanted Blades were stolen. These blades are said to possess immense power capable of influencing the fate of the nation.
After losing her father and the life she once knew, Chihiro took up Enten, the seventh Enchanted Blade left behind by her father, and set out on a blood-soaked path to seek revenge. The anime’s official synopsis also describes the series as a Neo-Japanese Sword Action from Weekly Shonen Jump, with a focus on personal conflicts and intense swordplay.
