Kagurabachi taking the first steps toward the release of the anime through Anime World Tour Part 1 which will begin in July 2026. As part of this event series, the first 20 minutes of Episode 1 will premiere at four international anime conventions before the series is scheduled to air in April 2027.

This manga by Takeru Hokazono is also reported to have surpassed a total circulation of 4 million copies as of May 1, 2026. Along with the announcement of the global tour, initial details about the production team and the main voice cast anime Kagurabachi was also distributed.

The Story of Kagurabachi

Kagurabachi The story follows Chihiro Rokuhira, a young boy who dreams of becoming a swordsmith and trains every day with his father, Kunishige Rokuhira, a renowned swordsmith. Their once-peaceful life is turned upside down after an attack by a mysterious organization of sorcerers known as Hishaku.

During the attack, six Enchanted Blades were stolen. These blades possessed immense power capable of influencing the fate of the nation. From that day on, Chihiro’s life changed completely.

Carrying Enten, the seventh sword left behind by his father, Chihiro embarks on a journey of vengeance in a world shrouded in darkness. This anime adaptation will bring the story of vengeance and Japanese-style sword fights from the manga *Kagurabachi* to the screen.

"Kagurabachi" Will Premiere at Four International Events

The anime *Kagurabachi* will kick off its Anime World Tour Part 1 with premiere screenings in four major cities, each at a different anime event. All screenings will feature the first 20 minutes of Episode 1, while some locations will also host panel discussions with the staff and those involved in the adaptation.

In addition to its global tour schedule, the anime *Kagurabachi* has also revealed its key staff and the voice actors for its main characters.

Tetsuya Takeuchi is best known for his work as Action Animation Director on Sword Art Online II, as well as Battle Scene Storyboards, Episode Director, and Animation Director at Heavenly Delusion. Meanwhile, Keigo Sasaki was once involved in Blue Exorcist and The Seven Deadly Sins.

Taihi Kimura has been announced as the voice actor for the main character, Chihiro Rokuhira. He was also named the winner of the Best New Actor award at the 2025 Seiyu Awards.

This anime is produced by Cypic, a studio within the CyberAgent group. As for the broadcast schedule, the series is set to premiere in April 2027. The distribution and streaming division also mentioned the involvement of MUSE and SMG HOLDINGS, among other parties that will handle the broadcast.
