The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) announced the 10 winners of the Future Division in Japan Game Awards 2026. Haruhiro Tsujimoto serves as Chairman of CESA. The Future Division evaluates games that have not yet been released and were not exhibited or announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2026.
According to CESA, the Japan Game Awards recognize outstanding games that are worthy of representing this year. The winners of the Future Division are determined by public voting. The Japan Game Awards Selection Committee then reviews the voting results.
The voting and winner selection process
Public voting will take place over three days during the exhibition. The voting period begins on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Voting ends on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The public voted online via Future Division's official website. CESA received a large number of votes during that period. The Selection Committee rigorously reviewed the games that generated significant anticipation and strong support, and then selected the winners.
