Anime Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World (Our Last Battlefield, or Perhaps the Dawn of a New World) or, as it is commonly known, Kimisen, has officially been greenlit for Season 3. The announcement was made on October 25, 2026, during the "Fantasia Bunko Dai Kanshasai 2026 Online" livestream event.
Based on information from Anime News Network, Season 3 is once again being produced by the same staff and voice cast as Season 2. The anime is currently in production, and its airing schedule has not yet been announced.
Iska and Rin Sneak Into the Empire to Save Sisbell
Story Our Last Crusade Set against the backdrop of a long-running war between the technologically advanced Empire and Nebulis Sovereignty, the land of wizards. Amid this conflict, Iska, a knight of the Empire, and Aliceliese, the second princess of Nebulis, find themselves drawn to one another through their respective beliefs and aspirations.
After the coup that shook Nebulis, Sisbell’s third daughter was taken to the Empire. To rescue her, Iska and her unitmates returned to Imperial territory with Rin. There, they discovered research aimed at creating a mysterious “true wizard.”.
This mission is the theme of the Season 3 visual teaser. Illustrated by character designer Kaori Yoshikawa, the visual shows Iska and Rin preparing to infiltrate the Empire, while Aliceliese appears to be worried about the two of them in more ways than one. The tagline reads, “Operation: Infiltration of the Empire—begin!”
Meanwhile, Alice remained in Nebulis as the queen’s representative, keeping an eye on the Zoa family and Hydra. However, beneath the palace, the ancestor of Nebulis began to awaken.
At the same time, Elletear’s eldest daughter—who seeks the destruction of the Empire and Nebulis—begins to make her move. Iska and Alice will also come face to face with a hidden chapter of history from 100 years ago.
There is no PV or special trailer for Season 3 yet. This announcement was made during the Fantasia Bunko Dai Kanshasai 2026 Online broadcast on the KADOKAWAanime YouTube channel, as follows:
