Ghost of Yotei was officially announced to be released on October 2, 2025 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. The game is a spiritual continuation of Ghost of TsushimaHowever, it presents a new world, different characters, and a darker feel to the story.
This time around, players no longer control a samurai, but a female Ronin named Atsu who has one goal in mind: to eliminate the group of Yotei Six assassins responsible for the destruction of her family.
Revenge Story in Ghost of Yotei
The story of Ghost of Yotei takes place in 1603 in the snowy mountain region of Ezo, northern Japan. The world is built as an open world that is much more free and diverse than before. Atsu is the sole survivor of a brutal massacre in his village.
Now he embarks on a journey of revenge against six assassins known by their nicknames: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and their leader, Lord Saito.
Each member of the Yotei Six is described as having a unique personality and fighting style. Players will be faced with different challenges while pursuing each target.

The price of the Collector's Edition has not yet been announced, but it will certainly come with a replica of Atsu's mask, a special belt engraved with Yōtei Six's name, and a paper ginkgo tree ornament.
All pre-order editions will receive an exclusive bonus of an in-game mask and seven PSN avatars depicting the characters of Atsu and the members of Yotei Six.
