Matrix Corporation has officially announced that its latest horror game, *The 60-Second Syndrome*, will be available to play at the Tokyo Game Show 2026. The game is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2026 under the Matrix Creators label. The event will take place at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21, 2026.

"The 60-Second Syndrome" will be at the Indie Game Corner booth, number 09-E99. Visitors who try the demo will receive a free gift—a mini pouch with a strap and an acrylic keychain.

The Time Loop Concept Behind *The 60-Second Syndrome*

The 60-Second Syndrome is a single-player horror escape room game centered on a man trapped in a 60-second time loop. He must escape from a locked room before time runs out and he dies, only to repeat the same cycle from the beginning.

In each round, the phone rings, the TV turns on, and the clock chimes at exactly the same time. Players must observe these recurring patterns to find clues that will help the character escape the room and uncover the truth behind the time curse.

Has Won Two Awards at BitSummit PUNCH

Before appearing at TGS, *The 60-Second Syndrome* first made its debut at BitSummit PUNCH from May 22 to 24. The game took home two awards: the ID@Xbox Award from the sponsor and the Popular Selection Award, which was chosen through a vote by attendees.

The section that visitors can try out at TGS 2026 will be a new stage that’s being shown to the public for the first time. This means that visitors who have already tried it at BitSummit will still be able to discover new content when they stop by the Matrix booth.

The Complete Matrix Lineup at TGS 2026

In addition to *The 60-Second Syndrome*, Matrix is also offering two other previously released titles for players to try out, namely The Spiral of Mukuro a roguelite action game and Saka-Doh: The Arts of Reversal It’s a 2D fighting game. Visitors who try both games will also receive an acrylic keychain.

There is also a bestiary game developed by Wiggin Industries, scheduled for release in 2027. The game will be playable for the first time in Japan at the Matrix booth.

Matrix also presented a showcase project from its internal event, the Haizia Game Award. This competition involves joint teams from various game companies based in the Haizia building—the very place where *The 60-Second Syndrome* was born out of a collaboration between Matrix and HINATA Inc.
