Good news for you gamers, especially those who follow the development of developers City Connection. The Japan-based gaming company has confirmed its presence at the 2025 Tokyo Game Show (TGS).

This moment is all the more special because City Connection is also celebrating its 20th anniversary. They're not coming empty-handed, as there will be a series of new games, stage events, and other exciting activities at their booth.

Games that you can try right away

For those of you who have the opportunity to come to TGS 2025, the City Connection booth will be one of the main destinations. They've prepared five playable demos. One of the most anticipated is RUSHING BEAT X: Return Of Brawl Brothers, a game scheduled for release in 2026 for modern consoles and PC. In addition, there are also R-Type Delta: HD Boosted which will launch in November.

The other three titles are Mamotoru KAI! Mamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta! which was released to coincide with TGS, Final Formation for Switch and Steam, as well as one undisclosed game title. The company promised to announce this secret title one day before TGS 2025 starts, on September 24.

Not just games, there are also stage events

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, City Connection will also hold two main stage events on September 27. The first event is a classic gaming tournament Captain Flag which will be hosted by comedian Yoshiyuki Hirai. Iconic characters from the game Ninja Jajamaru-kun will also be present for a photo session with visitors.

After that, the event continued with a talk show session that discussed the game of R-Type Delta: HD Boosted. This session will feature game producers and directors sharing the stories behind the development process. Interestingly, some of the team members who worked on the original game are also scheduled to attend as special guests.

Fun Activities and Merchandise at Booths

Beyond game demos and stage events, the City Connection booth offered other activities. Visitors could take photos at special spots with popular characters "Clarice" and "Ojama Neko". Of course, there was also exclusive merchandise to be had. Every visitor who tries out the game demos will receive unique merchandise according to the game played, such as clear file or fan.

Especially for the birthday celebration, visitors who participate in the short message writing activity will get neck strap City Connection's 20th anniversary limited edition.
