The Spring 2026 comedy anime list presents several titles with different approaches to humor in one season. For those of you who follow the releases anime Season-by-season, the lineup provides a diverse selection with a clear focus on comedy.
5. Ichijyoma Mankitsu Gurashi!
Ichijyoma Mankitsu Gurashi! follows Meiko Morita, a high school student from Akita who is selected as a special transfer student to Amamiya Girls’ Academy, an elite all-girls school in Tokyo.
When she arrived with the idea of a neat new life, Meiko found that her home was a manga cafe called Hedgehog.
Hedgehog is not only a place to read manga, but also serves as a dormitory. There, Meiko lives and does service activities with the other residents who have different personalities.
This is where the anime builds its comedy, through new routines, cramped living spaces, and interactions with people that are not entirely predictable.
4. Yowayowa Sensei
Yowayowa Sensei brings the center of the story to the school environment through Hiyori, a new high school teacher who immediately gets a scary impression in her early days.
The nickname “Scary Teacher” came first before people really got to know her.
Behind that impression, Hiyori was far from a strict and intimidating teacher. She was gentle, careless, slow to speak, and lacked stamina.
The difference between his outer image and his true nature becomes the main space for this comedy anime, especially when Abikura-kun, one of the students in his class, begins to see that side clearly.
3. Kujima: Why Sing, When You Can Warble?
Kujima: Why Sing, When You Can Warble? (Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo) begins when Arata Kouda, a first-year junior high school student, encounters a mysterious creature named Kujima.
The presence of this creature then enters into the daily lives of the Konohda family, whose atmosphere is somewhat tense as their attention is focused on the eldest child who is a ronin student and is preparing for the entrance exam.
Kujima himself is described as a strange figure who can speak like a human and eats the same food as humans, or insects.
Details like this give the anime a different color. Comedy here does not rest on the bustling atmosphere, but on the strangeness that slowly enters the family routine.
2. Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 4
Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 4 (Mairimashita! Iruma-kun 4th Season) brought Suzuki Iruma back to Demon School Babyls, where he lives the school life while hiding the fact that he is human.
After going through major events, Iruma is now more recognized in the demon world and his role has grown.
Season 4 steered the story to the Music Festival, a challenge that again tested Iruma's relationship with his classmates.
Misfit Class has a target to bring all thirteen members to Rank 4, an achievement that is said to be unprecedented and can only be achieved if they win the Music Festival.
1. Pardon the Intrusion, I'm Home!
Pardon the Intrusion, I'm Home! (Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu!) centers on Rinko Nakama, a 24-year-old career woman who chooses to live alone in an apartment to maintain her privacy.
Behind her daily life as an ordinary office worker, Rinko secretly hides her identity as an otaku and makes her apartment a safe space to enjoy her hobby.
All that changed after an incident left a hole in the wall of her apartment and physically connected her room to the two neighboring rooms next door.
On the left was a young, innocent-looking man who was always sweet and considerate to Rinko. On the right was another man who was rough, mysterious, and familiar.
From that point, the comedy anime starts to move. Privacy that was previously very guarded suddenly disappears, then Rinko's daily life turns into a series of interactions that she cannot avoid.
