SEGA announced Kalanoro, a new action-adventure game from Red Raketa Studio. The game is set to launch on September 24, 2026. Kalanoro will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
SEGA has signed a co-publishing agreement with New Tales, a French publisher. New Tales will handle the production and distribution of Kalanoro in Japan and other parts of Asia.
The World of Lemuria and the Wizard's Threat
Kalanoro is set in a world called Lemuria. This world is inspired by the folklore and visual arts of Madagascar. Players will take on the role of Kalakely, the main character in this adventure.
The island where Kalakely lives is under the control of an evil witch named Raneny. Kalakely must fight Raneny to free the island.
Hair Power and Improvised Weapons
Kalakely possesses a unique hair-based power. This power serves as her primary weapon against enemies. In addition, Kalakely can also use various improvised weapons during battle.
The combination of Kalanoro’s hair powers and makeshift weapons makes his fighting style feel different from that of typical action-adventure games.
Saving Musicians, Forming a Band
One of Kalanoro’s main features is rescuing lemur musicians along the way. Every lemur that is rescued can join Kalakely’s band.
Players can also chat with the unique characters on the tour bus. The band they form will continue to grow and perform on bigger and bigger stages as the story progresses.

Kalanoro will be available on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. This game was developed by Red Raketa Studio.
For Japan and Asia, SEGA will handle co-publishing in partnership with New Tales. This collaboration covers the production and distribution of Kalanoro in both regions.
