Construction Simulator: Evolution is officially announced for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. The game is scheduled to launch in late 2026, bringing two new maps, demolition features, manual labor, multiplayer, and a larger number of officially licensed machines to the series.

Game It will be available in Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Year 1 Edition. There's also a Collector's Edition that will be available in select countries. From the initial details that have been revealed, this new entry expands the types of jobs in the field, the choice of machines, and the play modes that you can access.

Construction Simulator: Evolution Opens Two Maps With Two Campaigns

Construction Simulator: Evolution features two main maps, Maienstein and Amber Falls. Maienstein is inspired by the German landscape, while Amber Falls takes inspiration from a Midwest city in the United States.

Each map comes with its own campaign. This means you'll be handling construction contracts in two different areas, with different atmospheres and work requirements. This format makes the game not only change locations, but also brings a variety of jobs from one map to another.

In both areas, players will build construction operations, expand vehicle fleets, and take on more challenging contracts. The focus remains on construction work, but the scope of activities is made broader than in previous entries.

Construction Simulator: Evolution Adds Demolition to the Job Loop

The biggest change in Construction Simulator: Evolution is in the demolition feature. For the first time in the series, players not only build, but can also tear down buildings with specialized tools and machinery.

This game features hydraulic hammers and other demolition units to open up new work areas. The demolition process is also supported by realistic destruction physics, so building demolition becomes a direct part of the work system on the ground.

With this feature, the in-game workflow does not stop at the construction stage. Players can start from the demolition of an area, and then move on to the next stage of construction. This addition provides a more layered workspace and expands the types of contracts that can be handled.

Construction Simulator: Evolution Expands Manual Labor in the Work Area

In addition to heavy equipment, Construction Simulator: Evolution also adds manual labor. This feature makes work in the construction area not only centered on vehicles and large machines.

Some of the manual activities already mentioned include:

  • plaster walls
  • jackhammer
  • shovel
  • nail gun
  • table saws

This addition gets players directly involved in more detailed work on the ground. So, the activity in the game moves from the use of heavy machinery to the manual work that is usually done directly in the construction area.

The presence of manual labor also adds variety to the rhythm of the game. In one contract, you can move from tasks with excavators or cranes to jobs that are closer to the finishing process or technical work on site.

Official Engine Fleet is the Largest in the Series

Construction Simulator: Evolution features more than 180 officially licensed machines, vehicles, and equipment from over 35 brands. This is the largest number in the history of the Construction Simulator series.

Some of the brands already mentioned include Caterpillar, CIFA, JCB, Kenworth, Liebherr, SANY, Ammann, Epiroc, Sennebogen, and Volvo Construction Equipment. The presence of these new names expands the list of manufacturers coming to the game.

The types of units available are also quite extensive. Players will find excavators, wheel loaders, cranes, dumper trucks, asphalt compactors, and demolition machines. This variety makes the choice of work tools more open for different types of contracts on the two maps set up.

Character Editor and Official Workwear Join Expanded

Outside of vehicles, Construction Simulator: Evolution also adds a Character Editor. This feature allows players to customize the look of construction workers with a choice of workwear, safety equipment, colors, and other details.

The game also features licensed outfits from Bobcat and Strauss. These additions expand the character customization side of things, so not only does the vehicle fleet increase, but also the personalization options for the workers you use during play.

Multiplayer, Cross-Play, and Quick Play Are Core Features

Construction Simulator: Evolution can be played in single-player or cooperative multiplayer for up to four players. The game also supports cross-play, so players from different platforms can play in the same session.

For faster access, the game adds Quick Play. This mode allows players to jump straight into configured activities without having to complete a tutorial or campaign first. This format provides a shorter path if you want to try out a particular job or machine right away.

The game also supports popular input devices and steering wheels. Such support provides additional control options for players who want to experience the simulation with specialized devices.

For now, the details revealed still focus on its core features, maps, and scope of content. The rest is just a matter of waiting to see how Construction Simulator: Evolution reveals more about its two campaigns, contract options, and work system implementation ahead of release.
