Crystal, Chocobo, and iconic characters
FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is the first FINAL FANTASY game to feature the HD-2D visual style. The game’s story centers on the Crystal, an element that frequently appears in the FINAL FANTASY series. You’ll embark on an adventure with companions bound by fate to uncover a power that threatens the world.
The battles in this game use a strategic turn-based battle system with a modern twist. At the same time, several classic elements—such as chocobos, espers, and airships—make a return.
The most interesting aspect is the inclusion of characters from other FINAL FANTASY series. Cloud, Tidus, and the Warrior of Light will appear in this game. All of these characters are rendered in retro-style HD-2D graphics.

About FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE
FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE Based on the first story arc of FINAL FANTASY Brave Exvius, a mobile game from the FINAL FANTASY series. This game is not a direct port of the mobile version. Its content has been refined and rebuilt into a console-quality single-player RPG.
The HD-2D visual style was first introduced by SQUARE ENIX in *Octopath Traveler* in 2018. This style combines pixel art with lighting effects and 3D environments. Since then, HD-2D has been used in several other games, such as Triangle Strategy, Live A Live, and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake.
FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE will be available starting October 22, 2026, for consoles, and October 23, 2026, for PC via Steam. Pre-orders are now open, and a free demo is available on all platforms.
