Playeatsleep.fun - SEGA has just announced that ATLUS' Studio Zero has held a showcase on June 8 to reveal details about the Archetype system in their latest RPG, Metaphor: ReFantazio.
In addition, pre-orders for Metaphor: ReFantazio's Digital Standard Edition and Atlus Brand 35th Digital Anniversary Edition are now open. The game is scheduled to be released on Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Steam.

On June 8, ATLUS held an exclusive showcase on YouTube Live on SEGA Asia's channel, where they gave an explanation of Metaphor: ReFantazio. The stream was broadcast globally at 10:00 AM (JST).
The broadcast contained information that Metaphor: ReFantazio with director Katsura Hoshino introduced Archetypes, the core of Metaphor's gameplay, through new in-game footage shared by the development team. Here is the full information:
1. System of Archetypes in Metaphor: ReFantazio
The power of Archetypes can be used to change character classes. To win the battle, you must utilize the abilities of Archetypes that will provide powerful skills.
In addition, the ATLUS Exclusive Livestream announced that there will be 14 lineages and over 40 Archetypes to choose from.
At first, you're given access to the Knight Archetype, a defense specialist capable of providing protection, and the Healer Archetype that can restore.

2. Designs and Characters Created by Shigenori Soejima and Yuji Himukai
The character designs for Metaphor: ReFantazio was done by Shigenori Soejima and Yuji Himukai, who also illustrated the Etrian Odyssey series.
These character designs will change as you earn experience through battles and acquire various skills. Once they reach a high enough level, they can transform into a more powerful form.
