Square Enix shares the latest update for Kingdom Hearts IV in the form of six new screenshots and an official statement. This is the first time since the initial announcement in April 2022, Kingdom Hearts IV again featuring new visual material. This update also confirms that the game is still in active development.
Gameplay Snapshot

Two out of six screenshots Kingdom Hearts IV featuring gameplay footage. The first image shows Sora fighting against the Heartless. Meanwhile, another image shows King Mickey standing on a chandelier in a library-style room.
The other four images feature cinematic scenes. Two of them show Sora, one shows a boss character, and the other shows a character named Strelitzia. These screenshots are the first visual materials released since the game's announcement. Kingdom Hearts IV two years ago.
Official Statement from Square Enix
As part of this update, Square Enix also shared an official statement uploaded through various social media channels, including X/Twitter. Here is the full content of the statement:
"We are currently working hard to develop Kingdom Hearts IV and will continue to devote ourselves fully to the development process. We are committed to making this game an experience that lives up to your expectations. We've seen how enthusiastic you are, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Kingdom Hearts IV Development Information
Square Enix has yet to announce a release schedule or platforms for Kingdom Hearts IV. To date, no additional information has been officially released regarding other game features or systems. Square Enix stated that the development of Kingdom Hearts IV is still ongoing and will share more information at a later date.
