ArtDock Studio has confirmed their presence at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025. They will be bringing their latest title, Pao Pao, a game that offers a restaurant simulation experience with a fun co-op twist. Visitors to TGS will get an exclusive chance to try out the latest demo of this game populated by adorable animals.
Get to Know Pao Pao Game
Pao Pao is no ordinary restaurant simulation game. ArtDock Studio describes it as a "chaotic co-op restaurant simulator" as well as a sandbox game. Imagine you and your friends running a kitchen run by cute animal characters. The main tasks are cooking, serving, and managing the restaurant. However, the fun doesn't stop there.
This game is set in a semi-open city that can be explored. Throughout the game, you'll meet a variety of unique NPCs, follow branching storylines, and discover many unexpected side activities.
Not Just Cooking and Serving
The gameplay in Pao Pao is designed to be fresh and not monotonous. There is a day and night cycle that affects activities. Daytime is the main time to focus on restaurant operations, while nighttime is the perfect time to explore the city, interact with other characters, or upgrade your restaurant.
In addition, there are various mini-games to enjoy, such as fishing and farming. Flexibility is key in this game, as you can play it alone or bring up to three other friends to experience the fun of four-player co-op. A customization feature is also available, allowing you to style your chef character and decorate your restaurant to your liking.

A Game from Players for Players
The team at ArtDock Studio has a clear vision for Pao Pao. In their press release, the team stated, "We're not building Pao Pao as a game developer. We built it as a player, for players." This statement underscores their design philosophy.
The main goal is not to push players through difficult challenges, but rather to give everyone the freedom to play in their own way. They want players to enjoy the variety of gameplay on offer and have a genuine experience while playing. This approach is felt strongly in every element of the game they offer.
Development Status and Release Schedule
For those of you who can't wait, the Pao Pao demo has actually been available on the Steam platform since February 2025. Since then, the demo has received some major updates that are based on feedback from the player community. Currently, the game development process is in full swing.
ArtDock Studio is targeting a release window between the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2025 to the first quarter (Q1) of 2026. Their presence at TGS 2025 is certainly a positive signal that development is on track.
