Pincool, Inc. confirmed the presence of PRITTO PRISONER at Tokyo Game Show 2025 on September 25-28 at Makuhari Messe. This multiplayer party game stands out with its witty "excretion-inspired escape action" concept, character visuals from popular illustrator Kanahei, and original music by TeddyLoid. Release platforms include Nintendo Switch2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in the winter.
Event Highlights at TGS 2025
The main booth is located at Indie Game Corner, number 11-C02, with hands-on demos. Visitors could take part in a "Golden Poopie" photo session and take home a limited number of special edition stickers. PRITTO PRISONER also made an appearance at the Graph Booth managed by Active Gaming Media, providing a second chance to try out the demo, hunt for stickers, and get special edition fans on September 27-28. Compact and hilarious core gameplay
The game format divides players into two camps: Animals as the escape team and Robots as the guard team. Animals complete missions in each stage to open the escape gates, while Robots are tasked with capturing Animals and sending them to the "nap room". Three captures means game over for the animal character. The excretion mechanic is a key element: "poopie" provides effects such as speed boosts, blocking robot paths, and triggering stage gimmicks; "peepee" provides stun options via the "Peepee Cannon", camera short-circuit, and location marking for team coordination. Robots can collect poopies to level-up and strengthen abilities. The simple rule structure makes sessions fast, funny, and easy to learn.
6-Player Multiplayer and Character Customization
Online mode supports up to 6 players in a 4 Animals vs 2 Robots format. Local wireless is available on Nintendo Switch2 and Nintendo Switch, giving you the flexibility to play together without an internet connection. A variety of animal characters come with unique skills and statuses, while robots offer deep customization options through combinations of upper and lower body parts, plus gadgets and upgrade parts. This scheme enriches the variety of strategies, gives room for experimentation, and extends the replay life for the community. Playtest and Official Channel Access
The Open Beta via Steam Playtest is scheduled for August 28-September 9, 2025 (JST) for Windows and macOS. Playtest content includes selected modes and maps from the final version for online testing.
